etat sarvamavekṣya yannigaditaṃ tat paṇḍitairdṛśyatāṃ

prīṇantyeva viceṣṭitāni hi śiśoḥ prāyaḥ pitṝṇāṃ manaḥ //

yo viruddhadharmādhyāsavān nāsāvekaḥ । yathā ghaṭādirarthaḥ । viruddhadharmādhyāsavāṃśca sthūlo nīlādirartha iti vyāpakaviruddhopalabdhiḥ । iha dṛśyamānaḥ sthūlo nīlādirartho dharmī । sa cānubhavāvasito'sati bādhake pratyakṣasiddho hetorāśrayāsiddhiṃ nihanti ।

nanu bhavadbhirasannevāvayavī pratijñāyate, sa kathaṃ pratyakṣasiddhaḥ ? nāvayavinamiha dharmiṇaṃ pratipannāḥ smaḥ, kiṃ tu pratibhāsamānaṃ sthūlanīlādikamartham । na tarhi viruddhadharmasaṃsargādavayavina ekatvaṃ pratiṣiddhaṃ syāt ।

yadyevaṃ kastarhi bhavato'vayavī ? eko'nekāvayavasamaveto'rtha iti cet ? sa kiṃ pratibhāsamānāt sthūlanīlāderanyo'nanyo vā ? na tāvadanyaḥ, dṛśyatvenābhyupagamāt । na ca pratibhāsamānasthūlanīlārthavyatirekeṇāparaḥ pratibhāti । ananyaścet ? tasyaikatvapratikṣepe kathamapratiṣiddhamekatvamavayavinaḥ ?

nanu ca pratibhāsamānaścedartho nāvayavirūpo dharmī, kiṃ tarhi rūpamasyāviśiṣṭaṃ prasiddhaṃ bhaviṣyatīti ? ucyate । pratibhāsamānaḥ sthūlo nīlākāraḥ pratyakṣasiddhaṃ rūpam avayavitvānabhyupagame'pyavaśiṣyate । na caivaṃ mantavyam । na paramāṇusaṃcayavādināṃ sthūlākāraḥ kaścidartho'sti, yaḥ prasiddho dharmī syāditi । avayavyanabhyupagame'pi hi niravayavānekātmakaḥ sthūlo'rtho'bhyupagamyamānaḥ kena niṣiddhaḥ ?

syānmatam, niravayavāḥ paramāṇavaḥ kathaṃ pratyakṣe sthūlenākāreṇāvabhāseran, sthūlasūkṣmayorvirodhāditi ? tadapi na yuktam, paramāṇava eva hi pararūpadeśaparihāreṇotpannāḥ parasparasahitā avabhāsamānā deśavitānavanto bhāsante । vitatadeśatvaṃ ca sthūlatvam ।

yat tūktam, sthūlasūkṣmayorvirodha iti, tat kiṃ pararūpadeśaparihāravatī niravayavānāmutpattiḥ, parasparasahitānāmekavijñānāvabhāsitvaṃ vāviruddhamiti vaktumadhyavasitam ।

idaṃ cedaviruddham, sthūlākāraḥ kiṃ viruddhaḥ ? ata eva niravayaveṣu bahuṣvekasmin vijñāne pratibhāsamāneṣu bhavan pratibhāsakālabhāvī pratibhāsadharmaḥ sthūlākāro na tu vāstavaḥ, pratyekamabhāvāt । pratibhāsāt prāg urdhvaṃ vā na tarhi sthūla iti cet — na, tadāpi pratibhāsayogyatāsaṃ<msR_79a>bhavāt । yadaiva hi saṃcitā bhaveyuḥ, tadaiva pratibhāsayogyāḥ paramāṇavaḥ । yadā ca pratibhāsayogyāstadā sthūlāḥ ।

yastvāha niravayaveṣu bahuṣu pratibhāsamāneṣvavaśyamantareṇāpi pratibhāsitavyam । antarānavabhāse parasparaviviktā eva nāvabhāsitāḥ syuḥ । viviktānavabhāse cāṇumātrakaṃ piṇḍo bhavet । na cāntaramavabhāsamānamutpaśyāmaḥ । tadayaṃ nirantara eka eva sthūlo na niravayavānekātmako bhavitumarhati, api tvekaḥ sthūlātmaka eveti । so'pyevaṃ vācyaḥ । kiṃ vijātīyaparamāṇvantaramantaram, āhosvit śūnyākāśayogaḥ ? tatra śūnyākāśayogastāvadavastutayā nendriyapratyakṣagocaraḥ, arthasāmarthyabhāvini tatrārthasyaiva pratibhāsopapatteḥ । vijātīyaṃ tvindriyāntaragrāhyaṃ kathamindriyāntarajñāne avabhāseta, aviṣayatvāt ? tatra kenāntareṇāvabhāsitavyamiti na vidmaḥ ।

yat punarucyate, antarālānavabhāse viviktā nāvabhāseranniti, tatrāpi kimeṣāmantaraṃ vivekaḥ pararūpaśūnyatā veti cintyam । nirūpayantastu pararūpaśūnyatāmeva vivekaṃ vastūnāṃ paśyāmaḥ । pararūpaśūnyāśceme bhāsamānāḥ kathaṃ viviktā nāvabhāseranniti ?

nanu ca na pratyekaṃ paramāṇūnāṃ sthūlākāraḥ, tataḥ samuditānāmeṣṭavyaḥ । yathā ca nīlaparamāṇūnāṃ pratyekamasaṃbhavan pītākāro bahuṣvapi na dṛśyate, tathā pratyekamasaṃbhavan sthūlākāraḥ kathaṃ bahuṣu syāditi ?

03,ii

uktamatra, aviruddho niravayavāṇāṃ sthūlākāra iti । nīlaviruddhastu pītākāraḥ । tataḥ pītaviruddhaṃ nīlākāraṃ vibhrāṇeṣu bahuṣvapi kathaṃ pītākāro bhavet ? naivaṃ niravayavatvaviruddhaḥ sthūlākāraḥ, yathoktanyāyāt । tadevaṃ pratyakṣasiddhaḥ sthūlo'rtha iha dharmīti vyavasthitam ।

tadevaṃ vyavasthite dharmiṇi hetoḥ sattvamasattvaṃ vā nirūpya tatra pāṇyādāvekasmin kampamāne sthūlo'rthaḥ sakampaniṣkampe rūpe yugapat pratipadyamānaḥ kathaṃ viruddhadharmasaṃsargavān na syāt ? sakampaniṣkampayorhi rūpayoḥ parasparābhāvāvyabhicāranimittako'sti virodhaḥ । bhāvābhāvayoreva hi parasparaparihārātmako virodhaḥ । vastunostu tadabhāvāvyabhicāreṇaiva । iha ca sakampaniṣkampe rūpe gṛhṇat pratyakṣameva sāmarthyāt parasparābhāvaṃ sādhayati । vyavahārayati tu nirviśeṣaṇaivānupalabdhiḥ ।

syādetat । pāṇyādāvekasminnavayave kampamāne nāvayavinaḥ kampa<msR_79ba>rūpamabhyupeyam । avayava eva hi tadā kriyāvān dṛśyate । na cedaṃ mantavyam, avayave kriyāvati tadādheyenāvayavināpi kriyāvatā bhavitavyam, yathā rathe calati tadāruḍho'pi calatīti । avayavāvayavikarmaṇorbhinnanimittatvāt, nimittāyaugapadyācca ।

yadā hi ātmanaḥ pāṇikampanecchā bhavati, tataḥ prayatnaḥ, tadā prayatnavadātmapāṇisaṃyogāt pāṇau kriyā । yadā tu śarīrakampanārthaḥ prayatnaviśeṣa ātmano jāyate, tadā tatprayatnavadātmaśarīrasaṃyogāt śarīre karmeti nimittabhedaḥ । ato bhinnanimittayorekasmin jāte kathaṃ nimittāntarapratibaddhajanmā tadabhāve tadaparo'pi tathaiva jāyeta ? rathatadāruḍhakarmaṇostu satyapi nimittabhede nimittayaugapadyāt sahabhāvaḥ ।

tathā hi nodanaṃ rathakarmaṇī'samavāyikāraṇam, tadāruḍhakarmaṇastu nodyasaṃyogaḥ । tayośca sahabhāvāt karmaṇī api yaugapadyena jāyete । tadetat <04> sakalamālocya bhadantadharmottareṇa idamuktam — na cātrāvayavaḥ kriyāvān । avayaveṣu hi kriyāvastu vibhāgo jāyate, kriyāyā vibhāgārambhaṃ prati nirapekṣakāraṇatvāt । tena ca saṃyoge'samavāyikāraṇe nivartite nivartetāvayavidravyamiti ।

idamāhuratra kaṇādaśiṣyāḥ — nodanādabhighātād vā jāyamānaḥ kriyāviśeṣo dravyārambhakasaṃyogapratidvandvivibhāgārambhako dṛṣṭaḥ । anyat tu vibhāgamātramārabhate, na tu yathoktaviśeṣam । anyasmin padmasaṃkocavikāśādike karmaṇi avayavasaṃyoganivṛtteradarśanāt । tadvat prayatnajanyasyāpi karmaṇo nāsti saṃyoganivartanasāmarthyam । tato nāsti dravyanivṛttiriti ।

ayamatra samādhiḥ । ihāvayavini kriyāvati niyamenāvayavairapi kriyāvadbhirbhavitavyam । anyathāvayavasaṃsṛṣṭebhya ākāśadeśebhyo vibhāgo'vayavāsaṃsṛṣṭaiśca saṃyogo'vayavinaḥ kriyāvataḥ syāt । avayavāstu kriyāvirahiṇaḥ pūrvākrāntebhyo nabhodeśebhyo nāpasarpeyuḥ । avayavisamākrāntaiśca deśairnābhisaṃbadhyeran ।

04,iii

na cāvayavisaṃyogavibhāgābhyāmavayavasaṃyogavibhāgau vācyau, kāryasaṃyogavibhāgayoḥ kāraṇasaṃyogavibhāgau prati nimittabhāvānabhyupagamāt । kāraṇasaṃyogavibhāgāveva hi kāryasaṃyogavibhāgāvārabhete ।

04,iv (AvNir_04,iv_04,v)

na ca viparyayaḥ, siddhāntahāniprasaṅgāt । tenāvayavāvayavināṃ pṛthagdeśatvāt <msR_80a> ādhāryādhārabhāvahānau samavāyo'pi na vyavatiṣṭheta । tasmād avayavini kriyāvati avayavāḥ kriyāvantaḥ ityakāmakairapi vaiśeṣikaiḥ idamabhyupeyam । yathā cāvayavikriyāyāmavayavāḥ kriyāvantaḥ, tathā avayaveṣvapi kriyāvatsu tadavayavaiḥ kriyāvadbhirbhāvyamiti । anayā diśā dvyaṇuke kriyāvati tadārambhakau paramāṇū kriyāvantau mantavyau ।

04,v

ataścalāvayavasaṃbandhinaścalāḥ paramāṇavaḥ । niṣkriyāvayavasaṃbandhinastu niṣkriyāḥ । paramāṇukriyāyāṃ tadārabdhamapi dvyaṇukadravyaṃ kriyāvat prasajyeta, sarvāvayavakriyāyāḥ kāryakriyāvinābhūtatvāt ।

ekasya paramāṇoḥ kriyā na parasyeti cet ? sakriyaniṣkriyau tarhi paramāṇū parasparaṃ vibhajyamānāvujjhitadravyārambhakasaṃyogau syātām । tataśca dravyanāśaḥ । evaṃ ca dvyaṇukadravyasya kriyāvattve tryaṇuke'pi kriyā syādityanena krameṇa paridṛśyamāno'calaścalaḥ syādavayavaḥ । tasmāt niṣkriyāvayavasaṃbandhino niṣkriyāḥ paramāṇavaḥ calāvayavasaṃbandhibhyaścalebhyo vibhajyamānā dravyārambhakasaṃyogavināśavantaḥ syuḥ । niravayavo hi paramāṇuryamaṇumātranabhodeśamākramya paramāṇvantareṇa saṃyujyate, tato vibhajyamānaḥ kathamanujjhitaparamāṇvantarapratyāsattikaḥ syāt ? sāvayavo hi bhāva ekenāvayavena vastvantarasaṃyukta evāvayavāntaraiścalaiḥ pūrvākrāntān nabhodeśān virahathya deśāntaramākrāmet । niravayaveṣu tvatyantamastamiteyaṃ katheti yuktaṃ dravyanāśaprasaṅgam utpaśyāmaḥ ।

05,ii (AvNir_05,ii_05,iii)

atha vānyathāyaṃ viruddhadharmasaṃsargaḥ । tathā hyāvṛte ekasmin pāṇyādau sthūlasyāvṛtānāvṛte rūpe yugapadudbhavantī viruddhadharmadvayasaṃyogamasyāvedayataḥ । na cānāvṛtaikarūpa evāyamiti śakyaṃ vaktum, arddhāvaraṇe'pi anāvṛtasya pūrvavad darśanaprasaṅgāt ।

05,iii

tadavayavadarśanāyattopalabdheḥ tadadṛṣṭāvasyādṛṣṭiriti cet ? adṛṣṭireva tarhi asyāstu, na tu dṛṣṭyadṛṣṭī ।

nanvastyevāvayavidarśanamavayavāvaraṇe'pīti ko'yaṃ prasaṅgaḥ ? evaṃ tarhi sthūlaḥ prāgvadupalabhyeta ।

idamatrāha kaścit । bhūyo'vayavendriyasannikarṣasahāyo'vayavīndriyasannikarṣaḥ sthūlopalabdhernimittam । na cārddhāvaraṇe bhūyasāmavayavānāmastīndriyasannikarṣaḥ । tato na sthūlagrahaṇamiti ।

05,vi (AvNir_05,vi_05,vii)

so'pyevaṃ praṣṭavyaḥ । kiṃ sthūlo nāmāvayavino'nyaḥ ? sa eva vānekavyāpī sthūlaḥ ? tatra yadyavayavyeva sthūlaḥ, tadā <msR_80ba> tadgrahaṇe kathaṃ na sthūlagrahaṇamiti cintyam ।

05,vii

atha sthūlatvākhyaḥ parimāṇaviśeṣo guṇaḥ, sa ca dravyādanya eveti cet ? evaṃ tarhi parimāṇarahitametad dravyamupalabhyate । na tvasyānyenānyena <06> parimāṇena yogaḥ । na cāsyānekaparimāṇakalpanāpi sādhvī, yugapat sarveṣāmanupalabdheḥ । na ca dṛśyasya darśananivṛttiryuktā ।

avayavasyaiva tat parimāṇamupalabhyata iti cet ? yadyevaṃ sa eva tarhi avayavaḥ svena parimāṇena saṃbaddhaḥ pratyakṣo'stvāvaraṇakāle nāvayavī ।

syādetat । ekārthasamavāyād bhrāntinimittādavayavyevāvayavaparimānena saṃbaddhaḥ pratibhātīti, tadapi na śobhanam । dvayoḥ samaparimāṇayoravayavāvayavinoḥ pratibhāsaprasaṅgaḥ । yasya hi mahato'vayavasya tat parimāṇam, sa tāvat svena parimāṇena saṃbaddhaḥ pratibhāti । avayavinaśca tatparimāṇasaṃbandhapratibhāsābhyupagame dvayoḥ samaparimāṇayoravayavāvayavinoḥ pratibhāsa āsajyate ।

na cāsti yathoktaḥ pratibhāsaḥ । parimāṇarahitaḥ so'vayavaḥ pratibhāsata iti cet ? syādetat । yasyāvayavasya parimāṇenāvayavī saṃbaddhaḥ pratibhāti sa svaṃ parimāṇaṃ parityajyābhātīti । idamapi parimāṇavirahiṇo'vayavasyādṛṣṭeraśakyaṃ kalpayitum । ekārthasamavāyācca bhrāntinimittādalpatarāvayavaparimāṇavānapyavayavī pratibhāseta । na ca bādhakamantareṇa bhrāntirapi śakyā vyavasthāpayitum ।

astu tarhi sthūlo'vayava eva pratyakṣaḥ । evamāvaraṇakāle ivānāvaraṇāvasthāyāmapi sthūlataro'vayavaḥ pratyakṣo'stu, paramadhyavartināmavayavānāmindriyasannikarṣābhāve sthūlatamāvayavidarśanānupapatteḥ । syānmataṃ nikhilāvayavadarśana na sthūlapratyakṣakāraṇam, kiṃ tu bhūyo'vayavadarśanamiti ।

idamapi na samyak । abhimukhāvasthitasya hi parvatāderarvācīnāvayavadarśane na tathā sthūlapratipattiḥ, yathā arvākparamadhyavartināṃ darśane । tato na yāvat niravaśeṣāvayavadarśanam, tāvat kathaṃ sthūlatamārthapratipattiḥ syāt ? na cāvayavā arvākparamadhyavartino yugapad dṛśyante । tat kathamavayavī sthūlo dṛśyeta ?

06,vi (AvNir_06,vi)

krameṇa diśāmavayavānāṃ pratyakṣīkaraṇe pratyakṣaḥ sthūlo'vayavīti cet ? anyadā tu kaḥ pratyakṣa iti vimṛṣyam । avayava iti cet ? avayavā <07> api paramadhyavartino na yugapad dṛśyanta iti kathaṃ so'pi pratyakṣaḥ syāt ? tadevaṃ nāvayavī nāvayavāḥ pratyakṣā iti na kiñcid dṛśyeteti । tat <msR_81a> siddhamāvṛtānāvṛtarūpaḥ sthūlo'rtha iti ।

tathā rāgārāgābhyāṃ virodhaḥ saṃbhāvanīyaḥ । tathā hyekasmin rakte sthūlo'rtho raktārakte rūpe yugapat pratipadyamāno viruddharūpadvayayogamātmanaḥ prakāśayati । nanu avayava eva rakto'vayavī tvaraktaikarūpa eveti । yadyevaṃ rakte'vayave'raktarūpo'vayavī dṛśyeta । na caivam । atha vā rāgadravyasaṃyogo hi raktatvam । avayavasya ca rāgadravyeṇa saṃyoge'vayavino'pi tena bhāvyam, avaśyaṃ hi kāraṇasaṃyoginā kāryamapi saṃyujyata iti samayāt ।

yastvāha — rakta evāvayavī । asti hi kuṅkumārakte paṭāvayave kuṅkumāraktaḥ paṭa iti pratyayaḥ । tato rāgadravyasaṃyukta evāvayavīti tasyāpi varṇāntarānavabhāsaḥ syādavayavinaḥ । rāgadravyaṃ hi pratyāsīdat nijarūpaṃ vastunastirodhatte । svena ca rūpeṇa dravyaṃ saṃbadhnāti । yathā rakto'vayavaḥ tirohitasahajarūpo rāgadravyasamavāyinā rūpeṇa saṃbandhī pratibhāti । avayavinyapi rāgadravyasaṃyogini varṇāntarānavabhāsaprasaṅgo durvāraḥ । tanna rakta evāvayavīti śakyaṃ vaktum ।

anyastu saṃyogasyāvyāpyavṛttyā samādhatte । sa hyāha, śabda ivāvyāpyavṛttiḥ saṃyogaḥ । tenaikārtho raktaścāraktaśca । so'pyevaṃ paryanuyojyaḥ, kathamavyāpyavṛttiḥ ? yadi hi svāśraye samaveto rūpādivad vyāpyavṛttirevāyam, asamavetaścāvṛttirevāpyadravyeṣviva gandhaḥ ।

ekatra saṃyogasya bhāvābhāvāvyāpinī vṛttiriti cet ? syādetat । yathā viruddhāvapi rūparasāvekamāśrayete, tathā saṃyogasyāpyekatra bhāvābhāvau yugapat syātām ।

aho mohavijṛmbhitam । abhāvo hi bhāvanivṛttirūpaḥ, nāsya bhāvanivṛttiṃ hitvā rūpāntaramīkṣyate । yaśca yannivṛttirūpaḥ sa kathaṃ tasmin satyeva bhavati, bhāve vā tannivṛttirūpatāṃ jahyāt ? tathā hi analaṃ paśyannapi salilārthī tatra pravarteta । jalaviviktasyānalasya darśanāt, jalābhāvasiddheḥ <08> apravṛttiriti cet ? bhavatu anupalambhāt jalābhāvasiddhiḥ, tathāpi jalasattāṃ saṃbhāvayan jalārthī pravarteta ।

nanu tatra yadi jalaṃ syāt, upalabhyeta । kimataḥ ? ato'nupalambhād abhāvo jalasyeti । yadyapyabhyupagataiva jalābhāvasiddhiḥ, tathāpi tadarthinastadbhāvaśaṅkayā pravṛttiḥ syāt । yugapadekatra saṃyogasya bhāvābhāvau dṛśyete । tenaivaṃ kalpayāmo na svecchayā ।

08,ii (AvNir_08,ii_08,iii)

nanu kimabhāvo bhāvapratiṣedhātmakaḥ pratīyate, anyathā vā ? tatra bhāvanivṛttirūpe <msR_81ba> 'bhāve siddhe kathaṃ bhāvopalabdhirna bhrāntā syāt ? bhāvāpratiṣedhātmakaśca nābhāvaḥ । nāmamātraṃ tu syāt । na ca nāmamātrādarthasya tathābhāvaḥ । rūparasayostu na parasparanivṛttī rūpamiti kathaṃ tadudāharaṇamiha śobheta ? na ca rūparasayorekatra samavāyo'smābhiranumanyate । śabdo'pyevamevāvyāpyavṛttirasiddhaḥ । sa kathaṃ prakṛtasaṃśayanivṛttaye kalpyeteti ? alaṃ bahulāpitayā ।

atha vā sthūlo'rthastadataddeśaḥ pratīyate । tadataddeśayośca parasparābhāvāvyabhicāranimitto'sti virodhaḥ । ato viruddhadharmasaṃsargaḥ sthūlasya ।

08,iv (AvNir_08,iv)

syādetat । kathaṃ tadataddeśayoḥ parasparābhāvāvyabhicāraḥ ? ucyate, iha tāvadekasmin deśe paricchidyamāne tādrūpyapracyutirasya vyavacchidyate, tadavyavacchede tatparicchedābhāvaprasakteḥ । pracyutivacca pracyutimadapi deśāntaraṃ vyavacchidyate । yadi hi paricchidyamāno deśāntarasvabhāvo bhavet, tadā tadrūpa evopalabdho bhavet । deśāntararūpaṃ tu virahayya svena rūpeṇa prakāśamāno deśo deśāntarāsaṃsṛṣṭa ityavasīyate । yathā ca deśasya deśāntarāsaṃsargaḥ, tathā tenādhārabhūtena deśena yad vyāptaṃ rūpaṃ tadapi deśāntarasaṃsargādavacchinnaṃ bhavati । kathaṃ hi tena deśena vyāptaṃ rūpaṃ tadabhāvavati deśāntare varteta, yathā ekena deśena vyāpto ghaṭo na deśāntare vartate ?

deśāntare'nupalambhādapravṛttiriti cet ? viprakṛṣṭe deśāntare kathamasyābhāvaḥ pratipattavyaḥ ? tasmādidamakāmakenāpi vācyam, yaduta ekadeśavyāptaṃ rūpaṃ na deśāntare vartata iti, tasya tena vyāpanaprasaṅgāt ।

tadabhāvati deśāntare vartamāno'pi tena deśena vyāpyeta । na ca vyāptirasya śakyāvasātum, bhāgāntarāsaṃbhavāt ।

etena tannirastaṃ yadāha kaścit — yathaiko bhāvastadataddeśaṃ janayanna virudhyata iti, tadapi na prakṛtānurūpam । tathā hi bhāvābhāvāveva parasparaparihāreṇa viruddhau na vastunī । vastunostu parasparābhāvāvyabhicāreṇa virodhaḥ । tena yadeva vastu vastvantarapracyutimat, tadeva tena viruddham ।

na caikakāryanirvartanaśaktiḥ kāryāntaraśaktyabhāvāvyabhicāriṇī । anupalambho hi vastuno vastvantarābhāvāvyabhicāraṃ sādhayati । ekakāryanirvartanaśaktimati ca rūpe gṛhyamāṇe kāryāntaranirvarttanaśaktirapi paricchidyata iti kathaṃ tadabhāvaḥ ? ekadeśasaṃbaddhaṃ tu rūpaṃ deśāntarasaṃsargirūpaparihāreṇopalabhyamānaṃ tadabhāvāvyabhicāri tena viruddham । yathātyantasadṛśorvastunoryugapad <msR_82a> upalabhyamānayoḥ satyapi cākārabhede dūrādanupalakṣyamāṇabhedayordeśabhedamātranimittakaṃ pratyakṣāvasitaṃ virodhamāśritya bhedo'vasthāpyate ।

yastvāha — yathaikaṃ cakṣurvijñānaṃ bhinneṣu cakṣurādiṣu vartate tadadhīnotpādatayā, tathānyo'pi bhinnadeśanivṛttirna bhetsyata iti, so'pi deśabhedanimitte virodhe avasthāpyamāne vastunaḥ kāraṇabhedanimittaṃ virodhamāsañjayan na naipuṇyamātmano nivedayati । na hi vijñānasya deśo'sti kaścit, amūrtatvāt ।

09,v (AvNir_09,v_10,i)

syādetat । yathā deśabhedanimitto virodhaḥ, tathā kāraṇabhedanimitto'pi syāt । ko hi vastuto viśeṣaḥ kāraṇabhedād deśabhedasyeti ?

09,vi

uktamiha । parasparābhāvāvyabhicāranimitto vastūnāmasti virodhaḥ । sa deśabhede saṃnidhīyate, na kāraṇabhede । deśabhedavatī hi rūpe'nyonyaparihāreṇopalabhyamāne parasparābhāvāvyabhicāriṇī bhavato na kāraṇabhedavatī ।

tadevaṃ kamparāgāvaraṇabhāvābhāvakṛte deśabhedanibandhane ca caturthe viruddhadharmasaṃsarge'vayaviviṣaye vyavasthāpite pakṣadharmatvaṃ siddhaṃ hetoḥ । adhunā vyāptirevāsya svasādhyena samarthanīyā ।

10,ii (AvNir_10,ii_10,iv)

iha viruddhadharmasaṃsargavirahamātranibandhano'bhedavyavahāro vastūnāṃ dṛṣṭaḥ ahetorayogāt, nimittāntarasya cādarśanāt । tato viruddhadharmasaṃsarge'pi bhavannabhedavyavahāro vyāpakaṃ nimittatvaṃ jahyāt । tato vyāpakānupalabdhyā tasmād vyāvṛtto viruddhadharmaviraheṇa vyāpyate । tadviruddhaśca viruddhadharmasaṃsargaḥ । teneyaṃ vyāpakaviruddhopalabdhibhūmikā ।

evaṃ prasādhite'syāstrairūpye'siddhaviruddhānaikāntikā doṣā nāvakāśaṃ labhanta iti ।

evaṃ mayā bahuṣu durmatinirmiteṣu

pratyuddhṛteṣu khalu dūṣaṇakaṇṭakeṣu /

ācāryanītipatha eva viśodhito'yam

utsārya matsaramanena janaḥ prayātu //
